Charity Update
Well its been a bit of a year for fundraising, not only have we blown away our £10,000 target for Capricorn Animal Rescue, we also managed to raise almost £16,000 in one day (half matched by the company) for Children in Need. For those of you who have recently joined the company, you may not know what talented and creative people you have amongst you, but let's make next year's Children in Need ever crazier than this year's... it certainly was a day to remember! |

In the meantime, our year of fundraising for Capricorn is coming to an end and the staff vote will take place at the end of July. If you have a charity that is close to your heart and would like it to be considered, please forward either an information pack or DVD to Ann-Marie Agrippa, our Charity Rep. One of the stipulations for our final choice would be, the charity should be fairly local to enable us to visit and see how our money is being spent and build a good relationship with the organisation. Summer Party Night
Our next big event will be our Summer Party Night on 31st of August. This will be open to staff, family and friends. It will be held at the Corus Sports and Social Club, nearby in Shotton. Unbelievably cheap bar prices, marquee, disco, bouncy castle, indoor function rooms with a hot and cold buffet. This will be a free/subsidised event for staff with family and friends paying for their tickets. This is a superb local venue, with a fantastic location adjacent to a large cricket field, so with or without the weather, the facilities will be great. Bar will be until 1.00 am. April's Winner - Mark EdwardsOur May raffle raised £117.96 for our charity. The prize was won by Mark Edwards from Network Support, this was £100 worth of Marks and Spencers Vouchers. If anyone has any pledges or prizes we can use for future raffles, please let one of the Social Reps know. Football Tournament ReportThursday the 31st of May. 
Thanks to the players and spectators for attending the football competition in Hawarden, it was a huge success and was enjoyed by all. The teams in contention:
Kick Off!It all kicked off at 7.00 (ish) with the group stages. 4 teams in each group played each other once (6 games) with the top 2 teams from each group claiming a place in the semi finals. The football standard is improving every tournament and this was no exception, for a friendly (supposedly) work competition there was no let-up in passion and commitment from the players. There was lots of panache and flair on display but enough about Chloe Halsted and Kaye Pimblett, back to the football! 12 games later the top four teams emerged to progress to the finals:
Group 1
Group 2 Semi-FinalsGame 1 - These games were tense and very close indeed, PAA who had looked excellent all tournament really came unstuck by a single goal at the hands of Club de non Mortgage Advice who managed to hang on to the lead to claim there place in the final. Game 2 - This was a very entertaining game with chances at either end, but it was the cup holders Terry Jenkins VI who took the lead. A defensive error by Travelsaurus in the second half meant the holders were then able to extend their lead to 2-0 to book their place in the final. FinalThe lads had little time to rest from the semi finals before being led back onto the pitch. Both teams were so eager to be brandishing the trophy. The game was very enjoyable with chances coming for both teams. Terry Jenkins VI proved too strong in the end and converted their chances to win and retain the trophy for the second time running. WinnersWell Done to Terry Jenkins VI the Winners of the MSFG Soccer 6's Trophy.
